TCML CBE Ancillary 150

The Cannabis Marketing Lab has been recognized by Cannabis Business Executive as one of the top 150 cannabis ancillary businesses for 2017, achieving best-in-class honors for the Advertising, Marketing and PR category and ranking number 130 overall. TCML was the first cannabis-specific branding firm in existence, and the company now joins The CBE Ancillary Business 150 along with prominent industry players like Weedmaps, Leafly and High Times.

“It is an honor to be named among this list of great companies that are making waves in the cannabis industry gold rush,” Celeste Miranda said. “This is not only a testament to the hard work of the TCML team, but really to the cannabis community as a whole.”

The CBE Ancillary Business 150 identifies the top vendors in areas like consulting, cultivation, extraction, legal, software and security. Factors that determine the winners include revenue generation, employee count and the performance of executive management. Cannabis entrepreneurs use the list as a means to find the best cannabis-related services and connect with innovators in the industry that can provide critical solutions for their business.

The Cannabis Marketing Lab was founded in 2012, at the same time recreational marijuana was legalized in Colorado and Washington. After taking on a cannabis industry client for her public relations startup Miranda Marketing Labs, Celeste Miranda saw an unmet opportunity in the emerging legal marijuana niche. She then created TCML and began to exclusively target cannabis entrepreneurs looking for help in branding, packaging and online promotion.

With the continued expansion of the industry over the past several years, TCML has become an integral part of the cannabis community. Celeste Miranda’s progressive approach to building her team (all employees work remotely in a virtual office space) has enabled The Cannabis Marketing Lab to acquire a unique pool of talent from various locations around the United States and beyond. Celeste regularly presents and takes part in panel discussions at top cannabis industry trade shows. She is also the founder of MC4MS, a non-profit that lobbies for further testing on the benefits of using cannabis to treat multiple sclerosis.

“Some of the brightest minds in the world have joined the cannabis revolution over the past several years,” Celeste Miranda stated. “It’s a thrill to help cannabis entrepreneurs achieve their vision and to support our incredible community.”
